Learning through a Little Makeup play
Here’s with what an education professional has to say about playing with our products:
As an educator of young children, I understand the importance of needing to provide stimulus that encourages children to explore, create, learn and most importantly play. Play is a vital part of a young child’s development: cognitively, physically, socially and emotionally. Play, specifically exploratory and imaginative play, allows children to make meaning of themselves and the world around them. Little Makeup Lovers makeup provides an opportunity for children to foster their development through play.
You will often see children creating their own ‘make up’ scenarios, imitating what they have experienced in their own family environments to copy the actions of Mum applying her makeup.
Playing with makeup also provides the opportunity for parents and caregivers to engage and connect with their children through play at their child’s level. Having either the parent applying makeup or the child to their parent. This form of play allows children to respond to others, take turns and most importantly share.
Makeup play with safe products like these encourages children to develop their fine motor skills, which are essential academically and for everyday life skills. When twisting, turning, dabbing and manipulating small brushes children are using the smaller muscle of their hands and therefore improving their hand-finger strength as well as their hand-eye coordination.
